چکیده

an experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of dietary crude protein and methionine levels on quality and quantity of egg production. fifteen diets formulated with 3 levels of protein (13, 14 and 15%) and 5 levels of methionine (0.25, 0.28, 0.31, 0.34 and 0.37%) and fed to 420 birds in a 3×5 factorial arrangement. each diet was randomly fed to 4 replicates of 7 birds each and fed for 3 periods of 4 weeks (50-62wks of age) each. egg number and mortality was recorded daily, whereas feed consumption determined at the end of each period. the increased in dietary protein significantly increased egg production from 54 to 59.4 %. egg weight, egg mass and feed intake increased by 1.7 g, 3.4 g, and 2.8 g, respectively during the whole experimental period. as the dietary protein increased, feed conversion, egg component (as a percent of whale egg) and egg albumin percent were improved. however, the egg breaking, specific gravity and eggshell were significantly decreased with increased dietary protein. the egg yolk percent was not influenced by dietary protein levels. the increased in dietary methionine from 0.25% to 0.37% caused the overall egg production, egg weight, egg mass, feed intake and egg component to improve by about 8.2%, 4g, 6.6g, 8.7g, and 6.0g, respectively. feed conversion, specific gravity, egg breakage, egg shell, and egg yolk and albumin percent were not influenced by dietary methionine levels.

Effect of dietary protein sources on production performance, egg quality, and plasma parameters of laying hens

OBJECTIVE This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary protein sources (soybean meal, SBM; low-gossypol cottonseed meal, LCSM; double-zero rapeseed meal, DRM) on laying performance, egg quality, and plasma parameters of laying hens. METHODS A total of 432 32-wk-old laying hens were randomly divided into 6 treatments with 6 replicates of 12 birds each. The birds were fed diets c...

EHects of dietary sodium bicarbonate on egg production and egg quality of laying hens during high summer temperature

Eggshell quality is one of the most common problems in layer stocks. Results from the field have shown that the incidence of cracked eggs in layer stocks ranges from 1-2% to 30-35% (ALTAN and ALTAN, 1992). This problem is more specific in older flocks when the birds were raised under high environmental temperatures. The eggshell consists of 98% calcium carbonate. The necessary Ca for shell form...

Effects of Dietary Supplemental Vitamin E and Chromium on Egg Production, Egg Quality and Blood Parameters of Laying Hens under Thermoneutral or Heat Stressed Conditions

The effects of dietary supplemental vitamin E (VE) and chromium (Cr) on egg production (EP), egg quality, serum concentrations of Cr and insulin and activity of glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) were evaluated in Lohmann LSL-Lite laying hens reared under thermoneutral or heat stress (HS) conditions. A total of 144 laying hens were distributed in 24 cages and assigned to feed four diets including ...

Effects of Dietary Marine Algae (Spirulina platensis) on Egg Quality and Production Performance of Laying Hens

In this experiment, a total of 128 Hy-line W36 hens at 63 weeks of age were used. The hens were put at random into 4 treatment groups (4 replicates and 32 hens per treatment) and were fed four different diets: three diets with different levels of Spirulina (1.5, 2.0 and 2.5%) and one control group based on wheat and soybean meal. All birds were housed in commercial cages, had ad libitum access ...
